Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to manage daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity by overseeing production schedules, coordinating resources, and maintaining adherence to timelines. The role involves supervising production staff, facilitating communication across teams, promoting workplace safety, and driving process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements
- Plan and assign work, establish priorities, and monitor progress to achieve productivity and first-pass yield goals
- Lead safety initiatives, participate in safety audits, and ensure compliance with company safety and environmental policies
- Maintain quality standards through training and consistent use of process control plans
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and promptly address tooling or process concerns
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Plant Leadership to resolve production challenges and remove bottlenecks
- Review production metrics and performance data;lead discussions on Walk-About boards
- Ensure accurate completion of production documentation and timekeeping records
- Train, coach, and develop team members;conduct performance evaluations and enforce company policies
- Support capacity planning and staffing needs in coordination with leadership
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of shop operations and production control systems
- Ability to interpret technical and process information accurately
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean manufacturing training;Kaizen experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office;Gantt chart experience a plus
- Familiarity with SAGE, warehouse systems, BOMs, and work orders
- Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred;equivalent experience considered
- Lean or CI certification a plus
