About the Role
In this role, the UV Pressman will be responsible for the setup, operation, and ongoing maintenance of a UV printing press. You’ll work closely with paper handlers and the Pressroom Supervisor to ensure smooth production, while also mentoring junior operators and staying up to date on emerging technologies in the print industry.

In this role, the UV Pressman will be responsible for the setup, operation, and ongoing maintenance of a UV printing press. Key Responsibilities

Oversee, train, and support the assigned press operator.

Set up and operate the press following job specifications.

Monitor and inspect print quality for color accuracy and registration.

Load stock, hang plates, adjust ink/water levels, and verify materials.

Conduct make-readies and perform quality checks every 500 sheets.

Maintain blankets, perform light repairs, and keep press area clean.

Collaborate with the press team and adapt to new printing technologies such as cold foil and lenticular printing.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of press experience.

Prior experience as a UV Press Operator preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

Ability to interpret job tickets, color guides, and production documentation.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to distinguish fine color variations.

Comfortable performing physical tasks (standing, lifting, walking) throughout the shift.
