Job Description
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across warehouse, restroom, and office areas within a manufacturing setting. This position ensures all assigned areas meet company cleanliness, safety, and PPE standards while working independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize warehouse floors, including sweeping, mopping, and debris removal.
- Clean, sanitize, and restock employee and office restrooms.
- Maintain cleanliness of office areas, including floors, breakrooms, common areas, and approved desk areas.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and properly dispose of waste.
- Clean and maintain entrances, hallways, and walkways.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to supervision.
- Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment involving rubber compounds, and industrial materials.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and cleaning chemicals.
- Use of required PPE at all times.
