Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Our client, a growing third-party logistics (3PL) provider with multiple warehouse locations, is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support operations across approximately six facilities. This role will be responsible for Keeping a network of buildings safe, functional, and in good working condition.
The Maintenance Technician will report to a designated “home base”facility where the company vehicle, tools, and maintenance supplies will be stored. Travel between facilities during the workday is required.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, and structural repairs
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on forklifts, pallet jacks, batteries, chargers, and warehouse equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Assist with facility improvement projects, painting, repairs, and general upkeep
- Support exterior property maintenance including snow removal and landscaping as needed
- Maintain maintenance records, inspections, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and repair parts
- Follow OSHA and company safety standards
- Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs when needed
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, warehouse maintenance, commercial property maintenance, or industrial maintenance preferred
- Experience servicing forklifts or warehouse equipment strongly preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 50–60 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day
- Valid driver’s license required
