Job Description
Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable professional who enjoys tackling aging reports and improving collections processes? Our client, a growing Commercial Landsaping Company, is seeking a Temporary AR Specialist to join their team through the end of the year. The initial focus will be cleaning up the aging report and driving collection efforts, with the possibility for the right candidate to transition into a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact customers to resolve past-due balances and improve collection activity.
- Send statements, reissue invoices, and address billing or payment issues.
- Reconcile and post customer payments (credit card, ACH, checks, etc.).
- Research unapplied cash and maintain accurate customer records.
- Prepare aging reports, bad debt summaries, and collection analysis.
- Collaborate with branch and regional staff to ensure timely posting and account accuracy.
- Submit invoices and manage billing through customer portals.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of Accounts Receivable experience, including B2B collections.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting and payment processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Acumatica or Aspire a plus).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills with a professional yet assertive approach to collections.
